An eco tyre attacks the one force a driver pays for continuously: rolling resistance (lower fuel use, more EV range). Lower-resistance compounds waste less energy as heat, which shows up as fuel saved in a petrol or diesel car and as range recovered in an EV. The tyre label makes the difference measurable — fuel-efficiency grades run from A to E, and every tyre in this range sits at A or B.
Efficiency need not mean numb. Two of the four tyres here pair low rolling resistance with an A wet-grip grade, and three sit at a quiet 68 dB. The EcoContact 6 — the only A-grade fuel-efficiency tyre in the LCDrive catalogue — is a Tesla-approved specification.
