Privacy notice
The short version: we store what your account and your orders need, plus — if you agree to it — a count of how the site is used. The long version is below.
What this notice covers
LCDrive Ltd is a real UK mobile tyre fitting business, and this site is its live storefront. This notice describes what the site actually does with your data today — not what a typical retailer's boilerplate says. When what we store changes, this page changes with it.
What we store — and where
Some of it stays in your browser; some of it is stored on our servers so that accounts and orders work; and, if you accept analytics cookies, some of it goes to Google Analytics. Each item below exists for one reason, and none of it is used for anything else.
Your account
If you register, we store your email address, your name if you choose to give one, and your password as a one-way hash — never as readable text. We use these to sign you in and to show you your orders.
Your session
When you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in as you move around the site. It identifies your session, not your browsing habits, and it ends when you sign out.
Your orders
Orders placed through checkout are stored on our server: the items, the totals, the email address given at checkout, and a label showing the card brand and last four digits. Stripe processes the payment itself — we never see or store full card numbers.
Your basket
The tyres you add to the basket are kept in your browser's local storage so they survive a page refresh. They are not transmitted to us until you place an order.
Your last vehicle lookup
The most recent registration result is kept in your browser's session storage so it survives a refresh, and is cleared when you close the tab.
Your theme preference
Your light-or-dark choice is kept in your browser. It is a preference, not a tracker, and it is never used to identify you.
Your cookie choice
When you answer the cookie banner, a cookie in your browser records the answer you gave and the date you gave it — nothing else. It is stored for six months, and after that we ask again.
Analytics — only if you accept
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_P6SBT0S0RE. They hold a randomly generated ID for the browser, not a name. Decline and neither of them is ever set.
Online card payment is in test mode — no card is charged. Bookings are confirmed by phone or WhatsApp. Stripe handles card details as a third-party payment processor, under its own privacy policy.
What we never do
We set no advertising cookies and run no advertising or remarketing tags. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for. Two third parties are involved in what this site does: Stripe, which processes card payments, and Google Analytics, which counts visits — and that one only runs if you accept.
Server logs
Our web server records each request it serves — the IP address it came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser reported by your device — in an access log kept on the server and rotated automatically. We read it to keep the site up, to spot attacks, and to count emergency requests. It is not shared with anyone.
UK GDPR
LCDrive Ltd is the controller of the personal data described above. We store it to provide what you asked for — an account that signs in, orders that are recorded — and, where you have agreed to it, to measure how the site is used. The lawful basis for the analytics is your consent, and you can take it back at any time. We keep everything only as long as those purposes need. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.
Our registered address and company number will be published here once they are confirmed — we do not invent credentials.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over the personal data we hold about you — including access, rectification and erasure — and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of them, email hello@lcdriveltd.com and we will act on it.
