Privacy notice

What this notice covers

LCDriveLTD is a real UK mobile tyre fitting business, and this site is its live storefront. This notice describes what the site actually does with your data today — not what a typical retailer's boilerplate says. When what we store changes, this page changes with it.

What we store — and where

Some of it stays in your browser; some of it is stored on our servers so that accounts and bookings work; and, if you accept optional cookies, some of it goes to Google Analytics or the configured review widget. Each item below exists for one reason, and none of it is used for anything else.

• Your account

  If you register, we store your email address, your name if you give one, and your password as a one-way hash. Google sign-in stores the account information needed to identify you. We also record email verification and session information so you can securely access your bookings and previous orders.

• Your session

  When you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in as you move around the site. It identifies your session, not your browsing habits, and it ends when you sign out.

• Your booking and deposit

  We store the name, contact details, registration, tyre requirements, location, preferred appointment and notes you submit. New booking details are included in staff email alerts so the team can respond. Quotes, deposit amounts, payment references and status changes are linked to that booking. Paydit processes deposits on its own hosted payment page; we do not store full card numbers. Staff verify reported payments and record confirmation. Historical test checkout orders may remain in our database.

• Your private booking link

  A private access key in your booking link lets you view and update that booking. Your browser stores the key in local storage so you can return without signing in; it also remembers whether you opened the deposit link. These remain until you clear browser storage. The server stores a hash of the key. Keep the link private, or use a verified account to access bookings associated with your email.

• Your last vehicle lookup

  When vehicle lookup is connected, your registration is sent through our server to the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service to request vehicle, tax and MOT details. DVLA does not supply tyre sizes. Previous lookup results may remain in your browser's session storage until the tab is closed.

• Your theme preference

  Your light-or-dark choice is kept in your browser. It is a preference, not a tracker, and it is never used to identify you.

• Your cookie choice

  When you answer the cookie banner, a cookie in your browser records the answer you gave and the date you gave it — nothing else. It is stored for six months, and after that we ask again.

• Analytics — only if you accept

  If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_6M8R0PGXMQ. They hold a randomly generated ID for the browser, not a name. Decline and neither of them is ever set.

• Optional review widget

  When configured, the Trustindex review widget loads only after you accept the site's optional-content cookie choice. Loading it connects your browser to Trustindex, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details. The normal site remains available without it.

• Staff inventory and optional AI

  Our staff dashboard stores stock records, supplier invoice details and an audit of stock changes. If staff explicitly choose AI extraction, the selected PDF or pasted invoice text is sent to Google Gemini. Stock assistant requests send the question and up to 500 inventory lines, including purchase costs. Customer booking and payment records are excluded from that assistant snapshot. The application stores reviewed invoice rows and a file fingerprint, rather than retaining the uploaded PDF. AI suggestions do not change inventory until staff review and confirm the receipt.

Paydit handles deposits under its own privacy policy on its hosted payment page. Contact links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook open those services under their own privacy policies.

What we never do

We set no advertising cookies and run no advertising or remarketing tags. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for. The integrations described above are used for bookings, identity, deposits, vehicle lookup, optional reviews and analytics, or staff-requested inventory help.

Server logs

Our web server records each request it serves — the IP address it came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser reported by your device — in an access log kept on the server and rotated automatically. We read it to keep the site up, to spot attacks, and to count emergency requests. It is not shared with anyone.

UK GDPR

LCDriveLTD is the controller of the personal data described above. We store it to provide what you asked for — an account that signs in, bookings and payments that are recorded — and, where you have agreed to it, to measure how the site is used. The lawful basis for the analytics is your consent, and you can take it back at any time. We keep everything only as long as those purposes need. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights over the personal data we hold about you — including access, rectification and erasure — and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of them, email hello@lcdriveltd.com and we will act on it.
